The world of esports is still new and fresh for most people and it can seem a little daunting at first. Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about Spin Sports Esports and how to navigate the world of esports betting.
What is esports betting?
Spin Sports Esports is an online sportsbook that specialises in the growing esports market. Today, esports are increasingly popular, and the interest only continues to grow as time goes by. Spin Sports Esports caters to this market with an exceptional range of betting options that range from simple outright bets to more specialised options. Players can opt for Over/Under arrangements on who will score the first point in a game, the winning goal in FIFA, or the final score in a tournament round, or simply peruse up-to-the-minute odds and choose who they believe is most likely to take home the prize.
What eSports can I bet on with Spin Sports Esports?
Spin Sports Esports provides betting options for major events in many of the world’s most popular esports, including huge crowd favourites. Currently, the site provides odds for League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, StarCraft II, Rainbow Six Siege, DotA II, Fortnite, Overwatch, Honor of Kings, NBA 2K, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Hearthstone, Call of Duty, FIFA and Apex Legends. More games may be added at a later date.
The odds keep changing for an event. Is there something wrong?
It’s fair to say that esports, like real sports, change on a dime without a moment’s notice, so a one-time favourite can crash out in the first round, an early frontrunner can have a bad day and lose steam or an underdog can rise and steal the entire show. As such, the layout of a tournament is always shifting and changing and the odds have to reflect that.
By updating in real time, pundits can have a feel for how things stand at any given moment: who is the frontrunner right now? Who is leading the pack and who needs to make up ground at this very moment? What is the current most likely outcome for the tournament overall? This information is at your fingertips with Spin Sports Esports.
What is the minimum bet? What is the maximum bet?
As with most betting sites, Spin Sports Esports has betting limits in place. The minimum bet is £0.10 (or €0.10); no bets below this can be accepted.
The maximum bet can differ, based on the esport in question and the specific tournament or event that you are betting on. The maximum bet will always be clearly identified before you place any bet, so you are sure to be aware of it.
Unfortunately, there are occasions when the site is unable to accept a bet. In these cases, we may have to reject the money being offered. We may also, at our sole discretion, propose an alternative so that you still have the opportunity to place a bet. You are not required to accept this alternative and may reject it when proposed.
I bet on an event and now it’s been cancelled. Is my money gone for good?
Of course not! All bets on cancelled events will be returned to the better in a timely manner.
If you have placed a bet on a portion of an event (for example, for a certain player to score a goal in the first half of a FIFA match) and the event is cancelled after this, bets for the portion of the game that has already been held will still be valid. As such, no refund will be provided.
Can I change my bet after it has been placed?
Unfortunately not. Once a bet has been placed and accepted by Spin Sports Esports, it is considered to be final and cannot be changed or amended (save for event cancellations, as mentioned in the question above).
